What a way to finish your apprenticeship! Jake McCarthy has been recognised as our Apprentice of Quarter 1, 2025, an honour he truly deserves. His remarkable dedication and hard work have earned him nominations from Senior Company Director, Steve Wakelin, and HSEQ Manager, Milton Walcott, among others.
Jake has recently completed his apprenticeship and transitioned into a full-time role as a Carpenter/Installer. He has also successfully completed his Level 4 Diploma in Construction Site Supervision – Building & Civil Engineering and obtained his CSCS Site Supervisor (Gold) card. In 2023, he achieved his Level 2 in Site Carpentry, further showcasing his skills and commitment to his craft.
In addition to his new role, Jake will continue his journey towards a working foreman role, collaborating closely with our senior site managers to support supervision requirements. His long-term ambition is to become the youngest site manager in our company, bringing fresh ideas and energy to our workforce.
Jake has also been nominated as a Rising Star in this year’s National Apprenticeship Awards, a testament to his continued growth and potential in the industry.
